A Victorian walnut box, circa 1860s, the rectangular box with a flat domed lid, in finely figured timber of warm amber tones, the lid centred with an hexagonal cartouche and conforming escutcheon of mother-of-pearl with a parquetry surround, the interior with floral paper lining, a reproduction of an 18th century Indian chintz.
