A mid-19th century European porcelain and ormolu fancy figured desk stand, the finely modelled and painted porcelain figures as a country gent and his companion supported on a shaped ormolu base with scrolling leaf detail and four spreading feet, a pair of ink pots to the front, the figures flanking the raised porcelain hexagonal ponce pot with velvet cover, the support as a flowering plant with ormolu leaves and sculpted porcelain painted flowers.
