A fine Louis XV ormolu mounted sycamore and fruitwood marquetry table a Ecrire, the top with marquetry flowers in stained woods on a sycamore ground and ormolu pierced gallery, the hinged top lifting to reveal velvet lined reading stand flanked by marquetry compartments and surmounted by curved pen well and gilded ink pots, the legs with acanthus ormolu mounts and caps on the feet, stamped illegibly and with initials Jme, 80 cm width x 54 cm depth x 79 cm high.
