Klingenthal Coulaux et C French naval officer's sword & scabbard featuring a stylised & decorated ornate guard spiraling into the pierced decorated guard, showing navl fouled anchor & leaf filigree design. the black Bakelite type grip retains the original brass wire wrap & brass portepee hanging ring, fitting into the plain polished inner guard & drooping double headed dolphin quillon, dated 1870-1940. Condition good, no chips to the blade, scabbard worn. Length of blade 70 cm. Length 90 cm
