Kate Kelly watercolour 1888 an original watercolour by visiting French painter Collard, showing Kate Kelly sidesaddle on horseback dated 1888. Framed, originally owned by a Wangaratta family, the image of Kate is based on known woodcuts from the press in 1880, but probably painted to celebrate Kate's marriage to to William Foster in Forbes 1888. Sunned, with several tears including upper left near corner, central tear near middle, and two on the lower edge, not affecting the image of Kate Kelly riding through the bush. Signed lower left, and inscribed 'Kate Kelly' on lower right edge. Previously unknown. Image size 56 x 36.5 cm
