Three pairs of ladies boots: Sabelt brown suede ankle length boots (size 11), Ludwig Stanek, Vienna black leather boots with spat-inspired detail (size 41) and a pair of flat mid length black leather boots by Doradorf, Germany (size 42), Gentlemen's boots by Ludwig Stanek, Wien IV, Fleischmanngasse 8., In soft black leather and lined in grosgrain, these low boots are closed with five pearl shell buttons. A button hook must be used to do them up or to open them. They fit around the ankle so that spats can be worn over them. They look as if they have been waiting for today's fashions of pain and austerity.
