A rare Tongan dance paddle (paki) for the ancient Tongan group dance - me'e tu'upaki (dance standing [with] paddles), 18th/19th century, the thin flat blade finely carved in an hourglass shape (loss to one side) joining to a handle swelling to slender circular section with a knob end. Length 69 cm
