A large three sectioned twenty four drawer display chest, later 19th century. Provenance: The Istituto di studi Liguri, Museo Bicknell, Bordighera, the cypress pine cabinet with sloping glazed display cabinets and three banks of panelled drawers, label verso; from the Bicknell Museum founded in 1888 for the personal library, display and study of the archaeological and botanical collections, most notably butterflies, of its founder Clarence Bicknell.
