An alabaster pedestal with a parian ware Beethoven statue, later 19th century, the slender pedestal with a spiral twist stem with a border of palm leaves to the middle, with a globular lobed knop to a shaped socle and a faceted base; surmounted by a parian ware casting of a pensive Beethoven in a full length coat and holding a quill and manuscript. Height 155 cm.
