A Victorian four piece sterling silver tea service. 1869 and 1870, London with maker's marks for W & G Sissons. An elegant ribbed and fluted oval shaped setting, comprising a teapot, hot water pot, a two handled sugar bowl and a creamer, with bright cut and prick worked borders and delicate fan and floral motifs throughout, the hinged lids with fluted domes and lobed finials; crisply hallmarked underside. Total weight 1726gr. Height 22.5 cm. (coffee pot).
