A Chinese soapstone covered censer. People's Republic of China era, later 20th century, in mottled purple chocolate tones flecked with cream colours, an elevated compressed body on tripod zoomorphic legs to a lozenge shaped footed base, with scrolled handles, and decorated with two dogs in relief and surmounted by a proud lion dog finial. Height 24 cm. Width 20 cm.
