A Japanese silver, enamel and ivory mounted vase, 19th century, central body of a carved ivory scene depicting women harvesting a rice crop surmounted by a silver top with enamel decoration of minute floral scrolls, flanked by two handles in the shape of perched pheasants with cascading tail feathers, the detachable domed lid having a winged eagle finial, the shibayama decoration continuing to the scalloped edged feet the waisted and stepped base.
