A Russian silver and enamelled Easter egg, circa 1878-95. Moscow, maker Maria Semenova. Assay master Alexander Smirnov 1878-95. In two sections, with elaborate polychrome enamel work of an interconnected floriate and curlicue design, angel face masks to the front and rear and cabochon mounted stones to the top and sides. On a silver stand with dolphin shaped legs. Height 17 cm
