Description:
Sevres 'Service Ordinaire de Fontainebleau' plate decorated with a border of wild beasts among foliage interspersed with Royal 'LP' monograms. Designed by Jean-Charles-Franc¸ois Leloy, further decorated with a gilt Greek key pattern around a central gilt medallion. The underside of is marked with Fontainebleau & date mark for 1837, gilt 'M' possibly for Moyez, incised f(?) 36-8. Condition, good, minor age related wear, some losses to the gilding. Diameter 24 cm
