A Victorian hinged sterling silver spirit kettle, 1885 Sheffield, with maker's mark Wg/Jl for Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co, in the George III manner with a serpentine handle above a flat top with a small dome with finial, the gently bulbous body bearing a 'Lamb of God' crest and the Latin motto 'Favente Deo', a deep gadroon border to a ribbed base with key and four flaring ribbed legs and a removable burner; hallmarked to upper body and other components, total weight 1500gr height 34.5 cm
