A large and comprehensive collection of World War II Military Camp postal envelope 'covers', P.O. War postal cancellations, various field Post Office markings together with other items of postal interest and printed ephemera during this period, the approximately 140 items include numerous 'On Active Service' covers, telegrams, postcards, ration cards, P.O.W. Camp maps, leave passes, meal cards, soldier issued maps, etc. This collection has been sorted, researched and page planned for exhibition purposes and contains some rare items such as Featherston Military Camp covers and items from H.M.S. Gambia, the ship upon which the Japanese surrender documents were signed as well as numerous P.O. War cancellations and various Field Post Office markings
