A South-Central Indian bronze figure of a Shiva, probably late Vajayanagara period, circa 17th century, seated on top of a base which represents Mt Kailash the axis mountain of the world. In his left hand he holds a trident (symbol of an ascetic) and skull cup (showing indifference to purity/impurity) and in his right hand he holds a double headed skull drum, heavily pujured., 16 cm high.
