A Nepalese gilt bronze standing figure of Padmapani, 16th-17th century, standing in a lotus base with the body beautifully curved in 'S' shape, the right hand of the jewelled figure lowered in 'varadamudra', with a stem of lotus flower rising from the base to his upper arm, the left hand held a similar lotus stem, the dhoti with carved flower patterns, the face with downcast eyes and peacefully arching brows, the hair piled into a high chignon and secured with a foliate tiara, the base sealed, 18.4 cm high, An almost identical figure was sold at the auction please see Galerie Koller, 2/06/2015, lot 109, also see 21/03/2010, lot 109.
