A small gilt-bronze figure of Dpakara, Qing Dynasty, 18 th century, seated in 'Dharmachakra' on a double-lotus throne, the edges of the robe chased. Dpakara is one of the past Buddhas. According to Buddhism sutra, he has lived on Earth one hundred thousand years ago. Buddhists believe that Dpakara would be one of the previous Buddhas, while Gautama was the most recent, and Maitreya will be the future Buddha, 9.8 cm high. Provenance: Queensland private collection
