A fine Chinese Huanghuali horseshoe-back chair, Ming Dynasty, 16th /17 th century, with a hard woven mat seat, the sweeping crest rail terminates in an outward facing hand grip, the back support splat is finely carved with a round medallion, the footrest well-worn towards the centre and the well-grained timber is a reddish-brown colour, 99 x 59.5 x 46 cm.
