Sir Jacob Epstein British (1880 - 1959) Fourth portrait of Kathleen Laughing bronze Conceived in 1933 Literature: R.buckle, Jacob Epstein, Sculptor, London, 1963, pp. 205 & others cast illustrated pls. 316 & 496 notes: Epstein met Kathleen German in August 1921 and made the first of seven potraits of her. She was aged 32 when the first model was made. She later became the artists second wife in 1951. 49 cm high
