An Anglo Indian Padouk wood console table, circa 1835 having a shaped back carved with scrolling foliage, a moulded rim to the serpentine top, a carved and pierced frieze, supported on four acanthus carved cabriole legs joined by stretchers, 79 cm high, 131 cm wide, 60 cm deep. Provenance, Captain (later Rear - Admiral) John Hindmarsh (1785 - 1860) First Governor of South Australia, thence by descent to the estate of The Late Mr. I.H. Ring
