A French gilt-metal mantel clock, late 19th century the oval base on stylised scroll and foliate bracket feet, applied with battle trophies around the circular enamel dial with black Roman numerals, pierced trefoil hands, the movement with 8-day bell striking movement, surmounted by a finely modelled figure of an armoured knight brandishing his axe aloft a rearing horse upon a naturalistic rocky mount, beneath a glass dome, approximately 65 cm total height
