A Sevres pattern porcelain and gilt metal centrepiece, late 19th century of oval boat shape with elaborate gilded vine borders and handles, the centre of the bowl painted with a courting couple accompanied by a musician within a cartouche and pink field. the exterior painted with putti in clouds within a cartouche to front and fantastical birds to the reverse, resting on an ornate socle supported on four scrolling legs, to oval base with applied relief borders, toupie feet, 39.5 cm high, 59 cm wide, 32 cm deep
