A French rosewood and gilded bronze mounted bureau plat, late 19th century the top inset with hand tooled green leather working surface within a crossbanded surround and gilt bronze rim, the corners with applied cast shell mounts, the frieze with three drawers to front and three simulated drawers to the reverse, on cabriole legs, elaborate scroll and foliate gilt bronze handles and mounts, 80 cm high, 172 cm wide, 86 cm deep
