A French Empire bronze and gilt bronze clock, 'Le Voyage de LAmour et du Temps' after a design attributed to Simon Boizot (1743-1809), 19th century modelled as a boat being steered by a cupid standing opposite a seated Father Chronos and resting against a a drum inset with Roman numeral enamel clock dial, blued metal hands, over a gilt bronze swag, the vessel with gilt studding, gilt swan heads to bow and stern, and mythical beast supports to either end, raised on canted rectangular marble plinth applied with implements and shells, on winged lion paw feet, 54 cm high
