A French Directoire gilt bronze, grey and white marble mantel clock, late 18th century surmounted by a putti bearing a spear on a pedestal draped with floral swags, two putti to shoulders, the the drum shaped white enamel dial signed Thiery a Paris, Arabic numerals, flanked by columnar supports with gilded female mask heads on grey marble plinths and trailing foliate garlands, shaped marble plinth and spool feet, the 8 day bell strike with count wheel and silk suspension, 64 cm high
