A French ormolu and patinated bronze figural mantel clock, late 19th century modelled having a cockerel surmount with putti adjacent seated on a pile of books and holding a sheet of paper, the enamelled dial signed ' Ferdinand Berthoud ', with Roman and Arabic numerals and pierced gilt hands, 8-day striking on bell movement, gilded bronze platform with scroll border, rosettes to corners and on toupie feet, 29.5 cm wide
