A matched pair of sterling silver gilt tazza on stands, the tops bearing Britannia standard marks for Gabriel Sleath, London,1719, the feet London 1879, maker's mark indistinct, (2) the oval trays having a plain centre engraved with the crests of Alexander, 6th Earl Fife, Viscount Macduff, Baron Braco, Baron Skene of Skene later 1st Duke of Fife, the pierced rim decorated with scrolling foliage, putti and birds, supported on a waisted fluted stem terminating in a pierced domed foot with decoration matching the trays, (2), 1465 gms, 9 cm high, 33 cm wide, 23 cm deep, Literature, John P.
