A red pottery figure of an equestrian drummer, Tang dynasty, (3) the rider with right arm raised as he prepares to beat the drum set in front of the saddle, wearing a loose robe and hood, the horse standing four square on a rectangular base, with head turned slightly to one side, the red ware with traces of white pigment, perspex stand, fitted box, (3), 37.5 cm high. Provenance, Chak's Gallery, Hong Kong, 4 December 1991, This lot is sold with a Hong Kong Art Craft Merchants Association Ltd. Certificate of Antiquity, dating this figure to the Tang dynasty
