A Chinese cloisonne moon flask (Bian Hu), Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), 18th/19th century, decorated to the compressed sides with a central large peony mudan surrounded by a profusion of colourful foliage, chrysanthemum and smaller peony heads springing up from a ground with morning glory, lingzhi and other small blooms, applied with detailed bronze dragon handles flanking the bulbous neck, with the traditional key fret pattern bordering the foot-rim of an oval foot, 45 cm high including stand.
