A pair of Chinese famille verte biscuit models of Buddhist lions (Fo dogs), 19th century, depicted in the traditional manner with the lions sitting upright on their haunches, the male holding a brocade ball under his paw, and the female with her cub. Their heads turned to face one another, each standing on a rectangular plinth featuring a geometric diaper pattern with floral cartouches, with a quatrefoil opening, 32.5 cm high.
