A silver plate mounted crystal claret jug. Late 19th century, the globular jug with star and lens cut borders having a long slender neck mounted with an ornate pierced and embossed mount in the Italian manner with scrolls, knots, mascarons and grape vine motifs, the lid with a lion's head and the scroll handle with a recoiling cupid; unclear stamped mark to inside of handle. Height 33.5 cm
