A Chinese famille rose dragon and phoenix plate, probably late Qing Dynasty, late 19th to early 20th century, the scallop edged plate profusely decorated with two sporting dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst ruyi and flame clouds, bordered with clouds, bats and the eight auspicious Buddhist symbols; the exterior decorated with bats flying above waves; Guangxu characters underside.
