Ariadne of Greek Mythology was the daughter of Minos, the King of Crete, she is modelled lying in divine nakedness on one of the Dionysus' panthers, seen here as the bride of Bacchus, she gazes forward with a drape held in her left hand, the collared panther with his head turned to the right, all raised on a rectangular plinth.
