A good large ornate French carriage clock by Japy Freres, 1850, partly disassembled for restoration in gilt brass with full relief corner figures and mermaid carrying handles. Entwined scroll and leaf borders. Repeat platform lever movement with bell strike. Dial mask with presentation inscription dated 1855. Height including handle 200 mm.
