An impressive Japanese Satsuma baluster vase, Meiji period 1868 - 1912, the vase is decorated showing a detailed panoramic view with architectural structures, including temples and a pagoda; bridges and pathways; archways and fences; the structures set amongst a dense forest with mountains and lakes in the back ground, the upper section decorated with finely painted gilded panels and Tokugawa mons.
