An 18th/19th century Greek icon, of the Holy Trinity, painted in oils on a wooden panel, the image protected by a silver riza or oklad worked in repousse in a manner similar to the attitudes of the three figures surmounted by a hovering dove framed by a sunburst nimbus; engraved upper left ‘La Santissima Trinita’. Stamped silver mark centre left ‘Sigma Pi’. Held within a later plaster gilt moulded rectangular frame. Overall 41.5 cm x 34.5 cm
