A Carlton Ware 'Babylon' vase, late 1930s, pattern 4125, shape 1694. The tapering baluster vase with shaped gilded handles, jewelled and gilded with enamel starburst and pendant flowers above shadowy underglaze leaves and deep green and russet bell forms on an emerald, lime and yellow washed ground, a canary yellow glaze to the interior; backstamps, painted and impressed marks. Height 21 cm
