A pair of large covered Satsuma tassel vases, probably late Meiji period, early 20th century. of generous proportions, the baluster vases richly embellished with moriage enamel and gilding in an iron red, tan and pale blue palette with figural reserves upon a profusely patterned ground below a similarly embellished collar, the waisted pierced covers with gilded dog of fo finials, also with fitted interior lids; character marks to inside of cover. Height 73 cm
