15ct gold, aquamarine, demantoid garnet and pearl necklace, Duggin, Shappere & Co., Melbourne, early 20th century, designed as a trace chain highlighted to the front with three claw-set cushion-shaped aquamarines alternating between circular-cut green garnets suspending to the centre a pearl and green garnet set swing-drop terminating in a pear-shaped aquamarine, the aquamarines together estimated to weigh approximately 17.70 carats, inner circumference approximately 420 mm, maker's mark for Duggin, Shappere & Co.
