An Archers shield, Wanamu area, Madang Province, this small shield is convex on the front decorated with ochre painted zig zag designs. Provenance: Purchased at the Madang Cultural centre in 1986, they often sold pieces that village people brought in but they didn't need for their collections. 69 x 27 cm
