Two fine old Orchid stem Fibre Belts and two armbands, late 19th century; Provenance: Harper collection 1932 Gifted to B. L. Hornshaw old label reads 'From the Harper collection 19.12.32 most likely from Bougainville Island' Ex. B. L. Hornshaw collection (1878-1937); Hornshaw was an avid collector of Pacific and Australian Aboriginal artefacts, he received many of his pieces from people who lived and worked in the Pacific in the late 19th century.
