A bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII grande champagne Cognac Accompanying label reads: 'This cognac grande champagne has been served at the Royal banquet offered to their majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at the Chateau de Versailles on July 21st 1938. It is the finest brandy procurable.' - E. Remy Martin & Co. Presented in a decanter made by Baccarat (no stopper). Marked to base: 'Made in France by Baccarat' but no Baccarat logo, indicating a bottling between 1937 and 1940. Serial number marked to base: 7 Ullage: 3 cm from base of neck missing most of the collar label. No box. Sealed with wax at some stage, some of which is on the bottle.
