A fine antique French kingwood Bonheur-de-jour, 19th century, of transitional rococo style, the parquetry horseshoe shaped desk with a shaped timber gallery and conforming shelves to a central marble topped pedestal with two small drawers above a leather writing plane and a bow shaped frieze drawer, raised upon slender cabriole legs with bronze foliate and neoclassical mounts and sabots, with cross banding and ebony stringing to the parquetry panels and oak lined drawers.
