A fine burr walnut piano top davenport, later 19th century, with oval maker's plaque for W.H Rocke & Co, Melbourne, the davenport with fine figuration, having a pierced three quarter gallery, four drawers to one side, faux to the other, and opening to an original tooled red leather writing slope and two small drawers, one having a secret lever activating a pop up fretwork box containing fine shaped satinwood partitions, with typically extended legs with decorative spandrels.
