A signed covered Satsuma vase, probably Taisho to Showa period, 1920s-30s, of high shouldered ovoid form with a waisted base and a domed lid, decorated to the body with a continuous scene of birds in an abundant floral and pink cherry blossom landscape with gilt enrichments, between floral patterned cobalt friezes, lappet and geometric red and gold borders; with a red bordered cartouche and script underside. Height 20 cm. Width 21 cm
