Three Colonial conductors batons, late 19th century the first two part ebony baton with silver mount to the tip, silver collar to centre and tapering cap to the top, inscribed 'Presented by the Members of the St. Patrick's Cathedral Choir to their conductor Alfred Plumpton Esq., Melbourne, January 1881', further mounted with a continuous spiral of pierced anthemion, boxed in a velvet lined Casuarina veneered cedar box bearing a silver plaque to the lid inscribed 'A. Plumpton Esqe. Melbourne 1881'; the second two piece ebony baton mounted with a silver scroll decorated top, central collar and tip, boxed in a velvet lined leather box, the third of solid fiddle back blackwood with a brass top inscribed 'Savage' together with scenes of dancing girls (5), 46 cm long, 41 cm long and 37 cm long respectively
