A Thai celadon glaze bowl, c. 15th - 17th century, this deep set bowl is decorated with an incised lotus flower to the inner centre with petals extending towards the rim. The glaze has pooled inside over the incised design to a pleasing effect, outside it is partially glazed and thick dribbles rest on the stoneware body which has re-oxidised- to a slightly orange-red colour after firing Provenance: from the private collection of an Australian diplomat, collected throughout Asia in the 1980's and 1990's.
