Zhang Daqian (1899 - 1983) red lotus watercolour on paper c.1947-1948. Provenance: Purchased from the private collection of Ning Zhi Chao, author of many Chinese reference books, Zhang Daqian or Chang Dai-chien, was one of the best-known and most prodigious Chinese artists of the twentieth century.
